YIZKOR
One of the main parts of Yizkor it to pledge a donation to charity in honour of one’s departed relative. This act of Tzedaka brings merit and spiritual elevation to the Neshama (soul) of the departed and strengthens our connection to them.
* The Tzedaka pledge can be made on Yom Kippur, but the actual donation should be made before or after Yomtov.
